Feleti Barstow Public Library

A center for lifelong learning dedicated to meeting the informational, technological, and cultural literacy needs of all age groups by providing both current and historical reading and insturctional materials in a variety of formats.

— About the Library —

The library is funded by an annual appropriation from the FONO Legislature of American Samoa and the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) under the Library State Technology Act (LSTA) Grants to States Program.
FONO Appropriation FY20: $325,000
IMLS LSTA FY20: $80,000

As the central public library for American Samoa, we serve as a model for other libraries and information centers to increase access to reading materials and promote literacy.

The Feleti Barstow Public Library welcomes groups of all ages to learn more about the many resources the library has to offer.

Research Tours

School classes are welcome to use the library during school hours for class research projects. Specific tours are customized for the group’s area of interest.
